• hello,
    i just discovered xbmc wicked prog,

    only problem being the pause between each music track. this is ok for normal albums, but when listing to say a dj set it's kind of thrustating, i just upgraded to the aug 22nd cvs and the problem is still there. i've also tried the crossfading option at 1 sec but doesn't seem to work at all.

  • do they play gapless on your pc ?
    are the files even gapless ?

    also read this: pap faq (http://manual.xboxmediacenter.de/wakka.php?wakka=papfaq)

    note, if pap isnt used for mp3 playback, it will never be gapless.


  • note that the mp3's will also have to be encoded with a newish version of lame for tracks to play gapless/without gaps.

    out of curiousity why can't mplayer play gapless, is it a matter of pre-buffering the next track?read this (link) (http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.pl?act=st;f=4;t=2544) and this (link) (http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.pl?act=st;f=4;t=2139), it should hopefully make you understand, (this was btw also why paplayer was created).

    ps! reason why pap cannot be be used to play wma is not open source and wma9 hasn't been reversed-enginnered (http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de/cgi-bin/forums/ikonboard.pl?act=st;f=4;t=1921).

    i understand now mplayer is use to play wma's and paplayer is use for mp3's. the djset was in wma, a format not supported by paplayer, questions is, will that be added to paplayer.

    the djset does play gapless thru windows media player and the likes on pc.
