• I was able to book a 2 day trip BUF-DTW-SJC-DTW-JAX-IAH-PHX-SJC-DTW-BUF on CO for $310 leaving on Tues afternoon and landing 8AM Thursday. 6 of the flights are NW codeshare and 1 is HP. 10,447 flight miles and with gold it works out to less than 1.5 cents/mile.   • I booked on CO doing BUF-SJC leaving 3PM Sept 4th, then did SJC-JAX leaving 10PM Sept 4th, then JAX-SJC leaving 12Noon Sept 5th, then SJC-BUF leaving 10PM Sept 5th. I had previous checked Travelocity.com for best roundtrips BUF-SJC and SJC-JAX. I then arranged the times to coincide with each other to get one ticket on CO.

  • The key to booking these is to do multi-segment, but leave out the hubs.

    For example, for BUF-DTW-SJC-DTW-JAX-IAH-PHX-SJC-DTW-BUF, enter these segments:

    BUF-SJC
    SJC-JAX
    JAX-PHX
    PHX-SJC
    SJC-BUF

    If you restrict the search to CO only, it will stick the appropriate CO hubs (or NW hubs through codeshares)
