• I have been using 1stPage for awhile now and love it.

But just now when I tried to get into the program I get 2 error messages:

"Access violation at address 00629028 in module 1stPage.exe. Read of address 00000000"

    &

"Exception EinOutError in module 1stPage.exe at 00113137. File access denied"

I am using XP. Its been awhile since I opened 1stPage and we did have some problems with spyware recently which I thought I had completely got rid of on my system. I have Spybot, SpywareBlaster and Spyguard running on my system. I did a virus check and all ok. I uninstalled 1stPage and reinstalled to no avail. I have also downloaded a fresh copy of 1stPage and installed that and I still get those messages and can't use the program.

    Please help!!

  • If you really (and i mean really) want to get it to work and this is caused by deleting some system files you can back up all your data and do a full system restore. Or you can just do a restore using the windoze restore program (which for me 14/15 of the time says it can't restore and to try another restore point). Restore it to a date before the spyware infected your pc. When i got infected with spyware that worked unlike the antispyware programs.

  • Next time if you don't know a lot about computers then you should use adaware before using spybot. It deletes only things it knows are spyware. Spybot on the other hand deletes files which it thinks are spyware which could lead to the deletion of important files.

I don't know why that is happening but i got infected with spyware 2 days ago and fp2k still works fine on winxp home.

  • That's all very well but how does that help me now?
