England NT on FSW
xn--vcsx75gvhj1xc.comMy question is this: I thought FSI had the rights to all England National Team matches? Does FSI only get friendlies or, as we all expected, that FSI is selling the Qualifiers to PPV?

FSI has England home-matches. Weekday home games will likely air on FSW while weekend games will air on PPV.
Setanta Sport has already purchased rights to all the away games, the TV rights to which are always sold by the home team's federation.

I had forgotten about rights going to the home country. I just checked the Setanta advertisement on SoccerTV and they are all away matches.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed the FSI doesn't put the weekend home matches on PPV. It certainly wouldn't create any goodwill towards FSW subscribers.
Which means?
A - A bar can charge a cover for a FSW game?
B - A bar can not charge a cover for a FSW game?
Yeah, but ya know that doesn't matter as long as English soccer only sells a couple of ads but costs millions of dollars to show each year.

I think he is saying that they would be prohibited from doing so. Does a bar have to have a liscensing deal to carry a TV channel that is available on regular cable?? This isn't a PPV issue. Does ESPN have liscensing deals with every sports bar in the country, I find that hard to believe.
No.
