    i am trying to play an rtsp-stream but i get the error message like: "not an rtsp compatible stream...". i don't know the exact message since it just flashes at the screen why i try to play it.

    i know the stream requires isma compability and it works fine using vlc at winxp. should xbmc be able to play this as well?


  • i cant answer your question directly, because i just dont know. but if mplayer pre6 can play them, then xbmc can play them. try researching at http://www.mplayerhq.hu.

    you should also enable debug logging, and check your xbmc.log file after it fails. it will provide lots of information on what you're trying to play.
