• i have 3 children and this time around i cannot figure out what is wrong.. my little girl has reflux but no matter what i do i can not stop her crying.. i have tried different formulars and panadol but nothing is working? could it be colic?

  • My daughter is 2 months and has had reflux since 1 week old. She also had colic, constipation, and cradle cap. She would cry non stop!! What formula are you using? Her pediatrician put her on rice starch formula but it didn't help and she recently started taking Prevacid for the reflux and it has improved her fussiness. Is she constipated? My daughter cried a lot because the formula made her constipated and it hurt her tummy all day...so the doc said to give her an ounce of prune juice for the constipation. The only thing you can really do is comfort her and try keeping her on her tummy or her side because it relieves some of the gas and pain...putting her on her back makes her uncomfortable. A little tummy rub may help also...good luck!


  • I was looking up reflux online myself. My ped. doesn't say much about my baby's excessive fussiness and crying, but I really think he may have reflux. He cries often (whenever he's not sleeping or eating), arches his back after feeding, has wet burps, and these days his voices became hoarse (but the doc. checked and said he doesn't have a cold).

    Many websites out there tells you how to deal with reflux. Such as this one: http://www.infantrefluxdisease.com/help-...

    You can try positioning her in the upright position, burping her more often during feeding, avoid putting her flat on her back. They also suggest carrying your baby more often but I am a little skeptical about that - don't want to have to carry him ALL the time...


  • If it is Reflux her pediatrician should be able to give her something for it. In the mean time I would try Gripe Water.

    doctors time. good luck that is so hard to deal with...i lost all my baby weight and more cuz my son had colic and i ran up and down the stairs like a millions times a night to get him to sleep! it was awful but the only thing that worked and I needed some sleep!!!!
